another ebay crapper

Dude, that thing gave me 5whp, I've got dyno sheets to prove...Let me find it..... (yupnope)

I would say putting big flaps of metal, which would inhibit the flow of air, would definitely not do a damn thing good....So does the "cyclone" of air moving into your engine travel straight through the throttle body, intake, and into the cyclinder like a genie out of a bottle or some crap???

Oh yeah, this review is not from experience, just from general knowledge, but I do have the Typhoon intake, so maybe I'm a hypocrit afterall.
 
What baffles me is how crap like that makes its way into legit auto parts stores.

I have very little, if any use for ebay... their parts or anything. But the stuff I see you guys find IS amusing.

hey, that's made of aircraft quality aluminum. that means it made of the same stuff off of the f-16...one of the fastest planes out there...right...

adds up to 35 hp my ass...

on another note...what the hell is up with the recent spike in shipping charges on ebay?? i mean, i understand 20 bucks for a decent sized object, but these guys are charging $35+ for little things like head units and what not! i miss the days when you could actually risk spending money on a used item but save like a 100 bucks in the process. now, it's just like buying a used part for just as much as a new one at a real retail store....

the general public is retarded. so with that in mind alot of people dont even look at shipping prices they just bid. people somtimes dont even read the damn auction, ive done some mean things on ebay in my past.......

C'mon, this has got the air razor & the turbonator beat all to hell. It's a bargain at twice the price. I'm getting one for every one of my bicycles & I bet the kayaks will scream with one of these. If you go fast enough it doubles as a deer whistle. I bet it might even cause severe meteorlogical interruptions in the geomagnetic fields that keep the earth in a stable orbit around uranus.

No air flow dynamics engineer I know would even consider it. (MS in Engineering)

The slight (and it is real ) benefit of the swirl ['vortex', snort!] is lost as soon as it is disrupted by the TB, manifold, etc. it would have to be right at each port on the head to gain benefit.

Located so upstream in the system it becomes just a 'blocking' device keeping some air out.

"If it was so great it would stock on all race cars and most passenger cars".

Auto company engineers would SELL THEIR SISTERS for a decent jump in HP (at a low weight and cost) to allow a reduction in fuel consumption and emmisions!

For the most part, I totally agree, but you sortof have to wait to find the deal you want. I got a Harbor Freight racing jack for $60 (is usually $100), w/ $8 shipping. It's a pretty good deal if you ask me. But I did have to wait and watch until I saw the deal I was looking for.

EDIT: For the record, no, I can't believe people actually buy this s*** lol.

the only reason such fakes and myths can last is that nobody disproves them...

a german car hifi magazine once bought a pile of ebay audio crap and tested it the whole way. everybody who read this article will never even think about buying ebay audio stuff anymore..

car tuning magasines should do the same with those nonsense applications like the resistor or this vortex pos...
 
d00d! it gave me an extra 42.7hp at 6320rpm. and another 5mpg. and lowered my emmissions 24%. Why can't Mazda just ad something so simple to begine with?
 
put this one to our air vents so we can put AC/heat to level1 and feel of level4 and more....
