Another CEL - P0171

So, after the first time I replaced the vacuum lines for the BPV my CEL went off. Then I install my boost gauge and everything is fine even thought I hit 10.5 psi on all the mods I have in my sig. Now that I replaced the vacuum line to the wastegate, I get another CEL for the same code. Does this mean I have to change my wastegate for sure now?

Test the wastegate actuator with a vac pump to see if it holds vacuum. What is your vac reading at idle?

My vacuum at idle is 21.5-22.

Vacuum will still read fine (or atleast mine did) with a blown WGA. If you don't have a boost controller and you're hitting that boost, I would assume it's the wastegate.

It's prolly the WGA is bad. I found out that there is a TSB on that. My car was throwing the same code and I did some research on some stuff and ended up readin up on the TSB. Took it to the dealer (cause I have extended warranty on the car) hoping that changing out the WGA was the fix and sure enough that fixed it.

I guess I'll be buying the ATP WGA sometime next week then. It sucks not being able to smash because all I do is hit fuel cut.
