That sucks a fatty dude, do you know when you can get your license re-instated? I guess the good news is that you were not caught speeding and DUI with a revoked license and expired insurence card.

Yup, there's a bright side to everything.

I talked to a rep for the Texas Dept. of Public Safety, and they say that when they received the faxes in May, they couldn't read the stuff right, and my name and DL # were too faded. so i blew it up and darkened it, faxed it again, and now they're "working on it" He said if all goes as expected (paperwork), I can get the revokation lifted next month, and get my license in December. Damn........................

And no license till december,,, man fuk that. Why could they not call you when they got the faxes and say they could not read it and ask for you to re-send. That is complete BS.

All they need to do is recieve the fax, see that you paid, call alaska and have the license re-instated. it should take no more then a week at most... the DMV just really pisses me off. I was there to get a new lisense a couple of weeks ago and the number was on 67 and I drew number 75, so I am thinking 'ok, this should not take too long.' So I sit down, read a magazine, then 45 minutes later it is noon and half of the people working the desks get up and leave to go to lunch. I was there for over 2 hours to get through 8 people in line in front of me. My next life, I want to be a DMV worker. Work slow, be union, and not give a sh!t. (argh) Sorry but had to rant and memo's story just pisses me off more.

Damn that does suck man. Well if I were you I would call down there and ask them if there is anyway they could speed up that process and let Alaska know that you are OK. I would also let them know that you are in the AF and that you need your license ASAP. And if they are not willing to work with you have your command call down there to push some buttons for you!! I hope you dont get any grief from your supervisors. Good luck man!!

My license shouldn't have been revoked in the first place, but it was. so in 2002 I got a ticket, and i was on a suspension then (because they thought I hadn't paid the ticket from 2000) so driving on suspension gets me a revokation.

I told them It wasn't supposed to be suspended in the first place.
So now I'm trying to work that issue out.........
