Yea, gotcha. I never thought about signing as a different person. You and Focus have pointed this problem out to me. I guess I never thought about it, because I would never pull a move like that. Then again, there are some really immature people in forums.

Maybe having the auto-siging would eliminate some problems, because people would pull crap like this less. And if they did.... it could be tracked and the person could go to purgatoy. (for spamming bad reputation for instance). I guess the first thing I thought of was retaliation... and possibly some of the immature people would post right in the thread about the other person giving them neg. rep points.

Some people have a few hundred posts, and somehow have a few hundred rep. points. I don't know if that person is just really sweet, or if people just 'spam' with positives. I don't care too much about rep. points... I am always helping people out (when I can) and I only have two boxes... so I don't think these boxes always reflect much about the user.

thats the way I feel about, I help out a lot too, and get great information from most everybody, but the squares dont mean anything really, but i def. agree with nate about people signing other peoples names and the stupidity involved in that.

The rep system is bogus so don't bother spending any time to change it. Fix the MSP section of the forum first.

I think everyone can see Nate's point though. Since there DOES happen to be this system in place, there should be a way to automatically put someone's name on there. If you have something sarcastic, hateful or vulgar to say, then your name should be put on your comment. Sort of like a "red letter". lol

I dont particularly care for the rep system either way, but if you're going to have it in place, let's just fix the damn thing.

I have a feeling that they're all part of the matty crowd (and I dont mean that to start additional crap either). Everytime someone is in one of their threads mentioning a certain name or someone close to him, they end up with a rep like that. I'm not the only one who notices either. But I know of at least a few people (who probably want to remain anonymous) that always gets "no one cares", "your gay", "you're a *****", "whiny b****" in mostly matty threads. Not saying that he's the one doing it, although I know he's given ME rep like that before. But coincidence? Probably not.
