Ok, I found the problem on my car. Hopefully Joe's solution will fix the problem that you guys are having, but it won't mine. Anyhow, I got off of work early today and there was still some light out, so I propped it up and pulled the R/R wheel. All of the bolts are tight so I grabbed the spring and tried to shake it around. Somebody earlier said that they could make their spring rattle just by shaking it, but not mine. So I got a flashlight and looked up near the top of the spring. The spring is making contact with the big black spring retainer. The rubber grommet thing that should absorb that type of noise is twisted up. You know how a tube sock can sometimes be all twisted and misaligned? Well that is how the rubber grommet is. It is seated correctly about half way around, but the rest is just all bunched up and doing nothing. I think that if I put some compressors in there I can squeeze it down enough to fix it without taking out the whole assembly. But if not, I am going to have to do the whole R/R again. Either way, I am pleased that I found my noise. Maybe you folks that aren't able to fix the problen using Joe's solution should double check that grommet. I will post pics when I am fixing it, but it probably won't be until next weekend, because I am out of town this weekend.
