Annoying Alarm Issues

My alarm beeps at every loud noise or slight vibration when its set. I can un-arm then reset and it starts all over again. Just last night it started beeping one single beep about every 2-3 minutes for no reason. I had to pull the fuse to get it to stop. Now I have to push the kill switch over ride to start it. I am not a slim guy any more so it's getting a little ( ok..... A LOT ) uncomfortable to start. Is there away to set the sensitivity ? Under the dash is a black box with what looks like an adjustment knob ( small, round white knob with a slot for a screwdriver ) on it. What is that for? It says something about I.R. code on it...

That knob is for sensitivity.. I usually keep mine high because I don't want anyone messing with my car. It gets annoying but I know that it's safe.

Should all mp3s have this? I tried to look for it but couldn't find it. I live in the ghetto now and I want to turn the sensitivity of it up. As of right now the only thing that will set the alarm off is if you open the trunk or passenger door with it set. Could someone please take a quick picture of it so I know what I'm looking for?

I'm sure all mp3s have this. Look under the drivers side... Mine was way up in there. It's a little black box with a with knob on it.

Ill try later its hard for me to get in there. I don't want it to go off over little stuff just if somebody. Hits it or tries to get in right now you could prob smash the window and it not go off

Maybe someone can help this forum newbie...2006 6 has a poltergiest alarm system. Just goes off for no apparent reason. Any ideas on how to correct this?

Wrong section but did you install it or did a proffesional? If a pro did it then take it to them and have them adjust it that's about all I can help you cause I don't know much about them.and welcome to the forum
