Is there any way to have album/song art (which is already on my Android-powered mobile) show up on the factory touch screen when streaming via bluetooth?

With few exceptions, bluetooth technology isn't yet able to send album art. (Some new BMWs do it via BT but that's all that I know of.) Regardless, the CX-5 doesn't show album art no matter what is the audio source. The best you can hope for is artist/title/album metadata.

Album art shows up on my 2013 Dodge Durango via Bluetooth from my Galaxy Nexus. It's possible, but may not be a feature of the CX-5's radio. I have yet to try it for myself.

I test drove many cars in late 2012 / early 2013 that had working album art over BT. It all depends how much they want to spend on R&D and possibly licensing.

I do have album art shown, err.. just not shown on the factory screen or via bluetooth. But it's always in view!

Whoa. Hello, 1994!

Lol! It is like '94 except the A7 chip inside my phone is more powerful than some home PCs and my H/U put together. Plus I have access to all my 3000 favorite songs, apps, pandora, iheartradio, iTunes Radio, Facebook, Tapatalk, etc. at my finger tips when I'm stopped. Do that with your bag phone! (lol2)And what's wrong with the 90's?? (mj)

Oh, I was referring to the album itself, not the hardware. I haven't heard Live in years, but vividly remember the video on MTV all the time, ha.

Yeah, after I looked at my photo again, I realized I was playing Live's Throwing Copper. I should have picked up on that. Well done subliminally ;). Or Sublime. Were they 90's too?! (confused)
