I disagree, deep down I think just about everyone wants to do good, and that's what keeps my hope alive.Donas64 said:You don't know how much it pains me to say this especially since I believe in the human spirit and in the basic human desire to just live a decent life but I think this might just be the case.
I really agree here. I was hoping they could build a democracy for themselves that worked for them. The way they set up the elections and everything was horrible. they need to disassemble the current Govt' and reconstruct from the foundation up. You cannot give the oppressed people power all of a sudden and expect peace.Donas64 said:I knew a "western style" democracy was probably out the question but I was hoping that with our help they could fashion their own Democracy that would work for them and the sensitive to their need and traditions but its seems like all their govt. officials are utterly incapable of getting the job done.

I just can't believe the inhumanity that goes on throughout the world, and feel all who perpetrate that should be held accountable. Call it bigotry, or whatever you want, but I am right.
