Hello,

I don't know the proper name for the switch that let's you switch the air from circulating inside air to getting air from the outside. I was wondering which one is better to use and if they vary on occasion.

Thanks!
Josh

The difference is one uses the air in the cabin and the other pulls air from the outside.
If you are trying to heat/cool rapidly use the cabin one. But the other pulls fresh air in from the outside.
It's kinda just your preference.

Also if condensation starts to develop on the inside while you driving, open up the vent to take in air from the outside and it will help equal out humidity and temperature differences causing the displeasing and unsafe condensation on your windshield/windows.

When I use my ac, in any car, I start by using outside air and as the car starts to cool off, I switch to cabin air. On warm days, inside the car is hotter than outside, so if you start out using cabin air (recirculate) it will take longer to cool the car. Make sense?
