Aggressive fitment anyone?!

im rockin 225/45/17's on a 17x7 +38 and i rub in the rear...these wheels will be sold very soon and i want to go more aggressive...what can i do? what are our limits...i have a set of 16x7 +38s with 205/50/16 but they dont look near as mean...

what tire for the 16s would compare to the size of the 205/50? 215/45/16? 225/45/16? any help is appreciated.

last but not least would a 17x8 +48 or 17x8 +35 work better? and what size tire? i am rolled in the rear and the fronts basically rolled themselves hahaha...

cause i want to get these: http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-522-Wheels-17x8-Chromium-Black-p/52278102c.htm

thanks for the help guys.

those 522's will def fit, our limits on the sedan are somewhere aroun 17x9 +40ish at highest ofsett possible and right now the most aggressive is 17x9 +15 -7* camber.

17x8 +35 should be poking slightly and the +48 should be flush with prob a 245-225 tire side wall depends on how low, or lack there of.

im getting 17x8.5 +25 this friday pics asap, but slideshow just posted some sick setup in the slammed thread, not sure of the wheel size, more aggressive than ur sizes i think, so sink the wheel in a bit from his

That look great Ractive :) how much do you rub? If at all... I'm not that low :( so hopefully it won't be too bad if I go for spacers :P

Was just test fitting to see how it looks so I don't know if it will rub. Looks like it will clear on the rear but not sure. Someone on the board has 15mm all around and stated that they do rub under load at the rear. I was thinking about 20-25mm up front and 15mm on back. Not recommended but oh well I want aggressiveness with the stockers heheh(evil)

Been done by numerous ppl. Easy to fit. FlyinHawaiian among several others runs this setup. I use to run this setup until I got new wheels. You need to roll the rear fender lip to avoid rubbing.

You mean with 15mm spacers all around? Any way to not rub with a reasonable amount of camber?

Ya, that's how I was running my MP3 RH's. Mild roll & -1.0 camber, no rubs. It's only a 17x7 +40 effective offset. If you go to -2.0 There should be 0 rubs with no fender pull. It's easy to give mild roll to the fender lips, tho. A little tapping w/ a rubber hammer and some heat gun action. (thumb)

Running w/ 17x8 +42 now, rarely rub. Rear quarters were given a healthy pull w/ an Eastwood roller, tho.

Thinking about picking up a set of 5mm spacers for these...

I'm running 2.5 and 1.5 front and back, possibly more rear camber in the spring so I may not even need the roll then :)

17x8 +35 or 17x8 +48

that is the question now. lets take a vote...also what tire size for whichever application you pick? i'm thinking if you pick the +35 i'd do a stretch like a 205/50/17 or something like that...lets here it!

Well this is the aggressive fitment thread so +35 unless your a sissy of some sort. Also, they will be very little 'stretch' with a 50 series sidewall, try... 40. I would think that a 215/40/17 would fit perfect on an 8.

17x8 +35 you will only need to stretch the rears (205/45/17 should work). 225 should fit in front, 215 at worst. It depends how low you are.... You on coilovers?

I run 17x8 +42 currently. 225/45/17 front & 215/45/17 rear.

i am on the stock struts with tein s-tech springs...so its low but obviously not as low as coilovers...what if i ran 215/45's all around with the +35s. would that work?

Height is only part of the equation... Your strut and spring combo is not very stiff, so you will get a lot of movement. Which means rubs.

yea...thats gonna be a little too crazy for springs lol if ur even thinking about a 9" you better have height adjust-ability at the very least
im lookin at a 17x9 +25 right now, but i need someone to buy my DAM OLD RIMS FIRST, arghhhlkgsfkgjlgj
seriously, somebody, buy my wheels
