Aftermarket Headunit and Bose

Just installed a Pioneer NEX 4000 in my Mazda6. I was able to program the SWC to my liking except for Voice Recognition. Has anyone been able to get that work? I'm using the PAC RP4-MZ11.

Solved this with help from PAC tech support. Program a button as short press, but press and hold when you want to invoke Voice Recognition. Make sure you don't add a long press command to that same button. (That was my problem.)

I just got my 4000 NEX delivered today, still waiting on the trim kit so I went ahead and ran the mic and USB/HDMI cables to the rear console. The mic is really easy to run. You can push it out the front of the headliner and then pop the A pillar off without removing it. Then use fish tape and run it down below the steering wheel took like 10 min.

Running the wires for the rear console was pretty easy too. All you have to do is remove the padded cover in the front console box under the AC controls. Just use a prying tool to pry the front edges up. For the AUX/USB connectors, that's a single piece of trim that pops right out. Just give it a little tug back, and then lift off. Disconnect the connectors, then push the clips in till it pops out. I just ran the wires through the open hole. I ran fish tape from the rear console till I saw it under the front console. Then ran the wires. Once I pull the radio out, I'll just run the fish tape down and connect the wires at the front console then pull up to the radio.
