AFC Version II on its way...

Well you guys asked for it...so version II will be coming out soon(Early Summer)...whats the big addition you may ask? Well first and foremost the overwhelmingly requested wide band o2 datalogging feature...yes thats right you'll be able to monitor in real time AND log your wideband data directly into the afc along with boost, rpm, etc...all on the same map! Other additions include the ability to monitor and log battery voltages, an often overlooked aspect when tuning...trust me when I say a change in voltage makes big differences in tunes...We will also be building in 2 extra channels for future goodies.....a lot of you expressed irritations with having to buy a new unit in order to utilize new features so we've put in a lot of time trying to build in "modules" to prevent this from happening in future additions. You guys opinions make a big influence on how we design our products and the wideband and module add-ons were the two biggest comments that we received on a regular basis. Price is tentatively slated right around $375-$390 for Version II. More than likely as we always do we'll be offering an initial GB at substantial savings. However this may fluctuate slightly as we're still putting the final touches on the unit. That being said we are always open to suggestions on things to add, remove, or change, so feel free guys to send us last minute suggestions and we'll try our best to work in ideas we feel will benefit everyone. Ok now onto the question I'm sure all of you current afc users are pondering. WHat are we supposed to do with our old units? Well to be honest we have several suggestions on the table we are considering. So at the moment I don't have an honest answer to give you, but one thing I'm pretty set on at the very least is temporarily freezing version I production as a way to allow current users a "shortage" market in which to sell theirs when upgrading. Ok well as we get closer to the final version I will post up more info on actual logging features, values, and other such technical information.

This is good news I guess I will wait on the new AFC II. IS it possible for it to be released earlier then Summer? Most likly count me in the GB have a date on that by any chance?

Sounds awesome, i think you will already have yourself a customer. Everything you explained which will be new is exactly what i'm looking for in your program. Will this one feature timing?? or will you be able to maybe upgrade for a Fuel/Timing controller. Sounds like a good time to release it for me. I guess i will have to consider selling my splitsecond afc pretty soon.

Also, will you be using the same software or upgrading that too?

damn it john. i'm gonna have to wait and see what people are gonna do...i'd like to upgrade to this from my unit. start the shortage now ! :)

Yes!! start selling the units you have left for hella hella cheap I'll buy one now and then buy the new one when it comes out in summer

:)

okay.. i finally have mine installed, hah! Well, I'm really impressed with my afc so far.

Sweetness! Datalogging! I'm curious about timing control too. That's one thing I'm probably going to need.

So what's the difference between the AFC out now and the New one, I actually should make this more direct. Say if I have a wide band 02 with the AFC I is it wourth it and does it make any differnece having a wide band O2?

The AFC II has a data logger for wideband O2 what exactly does that mean. Help me here so ic an clear things up. Thanks

glad I didn't end up ordering one last week.....I am definitely going to wait for the group buy on these.....any estimation on when the group buy will happen?

definitely.....there are guys out there with it tuned and with bigger injectors getting into the 240 range, so you should be able to get pretty close to 250

nazgul350r, there will be no timing control with this unit.

Eh, I am just fine with my first version. I do all my logging with my Zeitronix wideband any ways, I haven't found the need to log with the AFC, and if I did, I would just need another serial to USB cable to do it. Nice to know that another good product will be coming out for the MSP from a reputable vendor though.
