AFC-SplitSecond PSC1 Map Library

okay i have a question and hoping someone here can help a brotha out. I have an SS FTC and i just put on my 626 mani and 440 injectors. The car has not gotten tuned yet and it runs so rich im loosing a ton of power after 3,000RPM. I was hoping to load one of these pre made maps onto my FTC tomorrow to help it run better but i have no idea which one would work the best for me. any input or idea as to which to use?

here is a mod list of engine stuff
  • corksport FMIC
  • maf relocation
  • ss ftc
  • 3" TB exhaust
  • SRI
  • hks ssqv
  • greddy profec b 2 boost controller
  • 626 mani
  • wrx 440cc injectors

i also have a question, will this SS a/F ver.1 do a good job controling 440cc injectors? and any body has an idea of how many WHP can the stock maf handle before getting max?

^^^ If you're not running a relocated MAF I don't suppose you could ever max it out. I know people running the relocated setup that have been upwards of 15 psi and not had a problem. I myself have run 10 psi for about a year now with no problems and I knew a guy with another turbo P5 who was at 12 psi with no problems. If worse comes to wosre just get a FCD and clamp the MAF.

Guys,

I've just discovered today that the VICS and VTCS solenoids leak vacuum through the metal nipple that has the plastic cover on it. Make sure you plug it up for good. I stuck a tiny dowel inside the nipple and plugged it up with the same plastic cover. No more leaks there! Much better :)

^^^ Yeah once I get back to my car and start fixing it (again) I am goin to go back and redo all my vacuum lines (again) the right way with metal clamps and proper plugs. I have the 626 IM so I don't think I have the issue you're talking about though.

So I am looking for a map that uses anymods as long as it is on a p5/es/lx ecu. Just for comparison since anytime I get close to boost I lose all fuel and refuse to boost. I have a walbro 255 and perrin fuel rail but stock injectors. I have tried having the values in the boost area up at 20's, feels like I fuel cut. I have had the values down at 11's better but still cuts and goes full lean. This is all modifying the supermapstock.

When setup in the proper mode for our application, the afc's values should be modified around the neutral value of 10. According to Split Second, a value of less than 10 will pull fuel and a value of greater than 10 will add fuel. There are many discussions about this in the earlier posts of this thread.

Take care.

I did a recording today and my map is all messed up. It never reads pressure, the rpm never goes above 3000, and the afr reads like it is backwards. My coefficients are 10a and 2b. Has anyone ever had this problem. I know this is a vague description but it is very hard to describe.

im having the same problem too. i have a ss ftc v3 and it doesnt read pressure. when the car is off it reads -20 and when the car is on it reads -22. under wot and boost, my wideband reads a steady 10 so im sure something is wrong. im running the supermap and it is set to vacuum/pressure, over pressure, and the over pressure is set to 1.1 but ive also tried to set it to -1.

^^^ Almost sounds like the on-board MAP is messed up in the unit for you guys. Either that or something isn't connected correctly. Where are you getting your boost/vac signals?

Can someone help me out with connecting to ECU? I installed FTC today. soldered all connections. Have a Dynex usb2serial from BB with driver software installed. Went into device manager to match ports. Im using Vista if that matters. Car fired up the first time and drives great.I just can not get the ecu to connect. Is there something im missing? Help!
Thanks,

my trick was to connect the cable to the laptop first then to the unit. I have vista also.

And where's your boost gauge connected to??
i took a picture to better show where its connected. i have it tee'd off that line. i dont have a msp, so that line use to lead to only to the cruise control. it now goes to the boost gauge, split second, bov, and wga.
