AFC-SplitSecond PSC1 Map Library

i've had this weird idea ever sinc ei got the AFC v2.
i have a WB atatched to Aux Input A
but there is also
Aux Input B
Aux Input C
Aux Input D

have you guys thought of monitoring other inputs with this?
some ideas would be
Narrowband O2 Sensor (the one the ECU reads to see how it compares to actual WB readings)
Thorttle Position
Engine Temp
Vehicle Speed
Clutch Engagement (would be good to measure how much time it takes for shifting(?))
knock sensor ( to check weather you are getting knock...even tho in relaity the engine will bog down at this point if it ever happens)

discuss

.. if the AFC can figure out how to display those things.. how would it know how to display knock, etc?

well, ovbiously i am not talking about an actual gauge type display, but it will be variations.
for example:
throttle position:
Voltage at 0% thorttle = 0
Voltage at 100% thorttle = 5
thorttle will be displayed as a line in the real time graph

temp gauge:
voltage at min deg ( or whatever lowest reading for temp sensor)
Voltage at max deg
Temperature will be displayed as a line in the real time graph.

Knock Sensor:
Voltage when no knock detected = 0
voltage when knock deetcted = 5
knock will be recoded as spikes in the real time graph.

and so on, you get the idea.

we just need to find the values of the knock sensor, temp gauge and stuff like that

finally started tunning the afc, after 2 years of running the super map
let me tell you...WOW!
i'm amazed at how the car drives now!!!

will update and post a map later...

how is everybody routing the vacuum line for the afc? same as mine?

there is probably a post about this but i couldnt find it.

how do i go about uploading a map to my afc? i read thru the paperwork that came with my afc and didnt find anything that said how to upload a new maf!

back to Alejo_NIN idea about monitoring

maybe if we can get enough interest we could try and get splitsecond to get a program written up to read these and atlease have them viewable there the laptop.

but i have wondered why they offered all those AUX inputs for. It really would be nice to have a few more things monitored when your trying to tune.

Also i have another question, can the SS tune 565cc injectors? and if so how do you? is it in the options? I know you can tune for 440's but i got a killer deal on some 565 injectors. Just want to make sure that i can use them.

hey jmkoopa, keep me updated thanks.

Don't know if you got anywhere with this yet but here is the map I used. Keep in mind, it was a quick tune because I had only a few days with the car before I came back to Iraq. It worked pretty good from what I can tell. Mods: 8.5:1 Forged, CAI, CBE, 565 pinks, 255lph fuel pump, FMIC, Boost @18psi.

I'll tune it some more in a few months when I get back to the states.

Changing Map in Winter?

I am having a heck of a problem with the car in the morning when its cold. The engine is up to temp and running well, but when I go to accelerate I get wicked fuel cut! The air is cooler and denser so typically cars run better in the colder temps (30's). Are other people having to change their maps for winter time usage? I am currently using the superstock map.

i'm working on ghostones car. he has the superstock map loaded in. we're getting quite a hesitation /jerking under partial throttle..full throttle it goes away, except i think it's hitting fuel cut as when this feeling happens, the wb reads 15 for a snap of fingers... looking to see if anyone's got a map w/ closer to his mods.

built motor, turbolife fmic, CAI,BPV, steedspeed mani, ssafc, vibrant catted exhaust, one step colder plugs silicone lines

will be going on the car-28rs, 440injectors, cs s/j pipe

a map for both would be great. but for now, just the top one. thanks.

couldnt you just go through and adjust the superstock map wherever he is getting fuel cut/hesitation?

cuz those are close to the mods i have and im going to be putting all the turbo s*** in in december so it would be pretty cold, im not trying to have fuel cut right away when i drive it, that would suck ALOT

Guys - I am now getting into this AFC stuff more. So I m understanding what is happening and how the maps are working. But what about in Open loop? How do you adjust the map for WOT?

i dont think you can but i may be wrong

open loop the car doesnt take any signals from the O2 sensor and it pretty much just dumps fuel
there probably is a way but the only thing you could be doing is lean it out a little

i snatched a tune that someone made on here. And its been treating me really well. I think its an updated supermap tune. Thanks to whoever made it.
