AFC-SplitSecond PSC1 Map Library

I received my scan tool this past weekend, finishing up a couple loose ends for this semester then i'll be tuning towards the end of this week.

quick question reguarding the ssafc. i have a brand new unit, never installed but no software for it. is there a website or someone who i could recieve new software for my unit from?

I'm gonna try and **** around with a few maps next week. I see 10 at wot all the time running the supermap. Mods are turbolife, injen sri, catted 2.5 s-pipe back.

well v1 doesn't have the orange wires, the v2 does, and the v3 should have the orange wires, but other than just looking at it, not sure how you could tell the v2 from the v3, I would assume it should have a couple extra wires in the main harness, but not sure

the v3 is just the one with the ability to adjust timing, the v2 doesn't.. really they are different units, but people just call them the v2 (w/o timing adjustment, but with datalogging) and the v3 (with timing and datalogging)

Ok, I get it now, thanks. Judging from the pictures on a vendors website, the V2 would be referred to as PSC1 with data logging while the V3 would be the FTC1 with timing adjustment and data logging, and the boxes are different looking from each other.

I'm seeing staight 10 afrs at wot with occasional fuel cut on the stock supermap. Anyone want to recomend me a different map.

Mods are.
Steedapeed Mani
Atp WGA
3" TBE.
Huge fmic
SRI

well it all really depends on weather and the car.. but I really liked my last map that I had, lately it has still been kind of rich when you step on it, but its a lot better than the stock supermap.. it was a few pages back I think.. but here it is again.. might react differently without a relocated MAF, I always had a lot of trouble tuning the car before I relocated the MAF..

i have SSFTC with no data logging.
also a question:
I noticed if you change the system settings from 'Vacuum / Pressure' to 'Absolute Pressure' you have the ability to tune all the way to 30 psi, but no tuning out of boost. i dont tune out of boost anyway, is this a good way to be able to tune higher then 16psi?

I think you will be limited by the injectors. As the SSAFC wont idle well by itself with anything higher than 440s.

You can change the settings, but all it really does is hide the vacuum side of the settings from the grid and if you have the super map loaded it will move the first modifications from the 2psi column to the 16.2psi column. If you load and look at the super map, it doesn't modify any settings below 2psi any ways. If you needed to change settings above 16psi then by all means do it, but make sure you set everything up right for the low psi settings too.

no, if you set it to absolute pressure it will read atmospheric pressure and add it to the actual boost your car is building....dont change it to that. I tried it once and my car ran like ass, I couldnt get it to run normally so i just changed it back

not really too concerned about idle since the car already idles real lean. i let the ecu tune anything out of boost anyway, so the SSFTC should not cause any problems out of boost or at idle...
also spoke with Split Second, anything above 16 psi will work, it will just think its at 16psi with anything above, so they said i could go to 18 or 20 fine, just have to tune for it at 16psi.
