Yup, I experienced about the same problems at school (computer engineering) when we weren't using the right port #... the difference was that we only got an error message instead of the whole program crashing (but that's relative to the way the program was coded...). So if you have the right drivers installed and that you have the good port, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't connect... except if your AFC is damaged/defective but it would be surprising.msfamilia said:so meaning with the correct cable and hitting the right port # should pair up the connection right on?
DSMConvert said:hmm if the afc is damaged it should spit out a fragmented code...just a silly question by your car is on the "ON" position when you try to connect right? THe afc has to have power on in order to connect to the r4 software.
