i dunno, i've just heard that it's a good idea to keep the MAF in its stock location, altho you're probably right, it doesn't make any sense, it's prolly even more acurate to have it near the TB.

maybe they want MAF to be away from getting hot or something...I dunno either. (doh)

btw, $260 for a K&N CAI??? Injen is only $235!! Custom is prolly even cheaper. I can prolly get some stainless and have it bent then powder coat it.

First of all, with K&N you get high quality filter. Injen Filter is ok, but not good as K&N one.
I have used custom intake, eBay SRI, Injen CAI and now K&N.
with K&N you are getting both SRI and CAI same time. you can convert them anytime. (cool)
custom CAI is also option as well as ebay CAI(exact injen CAI replica). in fact they do look really nice.
but for me I just wanted have brand and warranty
you know, many ppl value different things.

Is there a way to customize the AEM SRI into a CAI ??
there is always a way to do it, but it will be custom job.
it might cost more or less.

Does anyone know if a M/T AEM intake will fit on a A/T or if A/T will fit on a M/T because I really don't get why they make two of them while I think Injen only made one to be universal for A/T or M/T.

I have a M/T and i've had both intakes now. I had a polished AEM which I then sold, and bought bijou's injen..I must say, Go injen. AEM sucks in hot air from the electric fan and bogs down and low rpm in the summer..Get the INJEN..I love mine!

So your saying when its hot the AEM sucks and INJEN is good no matter what (unless your in a 3ft puddle of water haha).

That could feasibly never happen..I've splashed down in some big puddles before..nothing at all..the AEM is great, especially the m/t version..A lot louder than the INJEN..But like i said, it gulps in hot air..The injen is great, and the bypass valve is a waste.

OK Injen People, what filter did you replace you Injen filter with?

Lets say you want to put a K&N filter on it and what size?..

How come ?? Intakes are a good first mod am i right ??
Because it's $200 for a filter on a stick! (hah)

The ebay ones are the same stuff at less than half the cost.

My CAI was $68 shipped...

So the ebay ones are just as good ?? no problems what so ever ??
I haven't had any. There are pics, and a video of mine around here somewhere...
