AEM vs. Generic brand

Ok, before you guys yell at me about this topic which I know has been beat to death, I tried researching it, but I've gotten many different answers. Some people have told me that Inake is all the same and that I should go with something like Bomz or Ractive to save money. Contradictory to them is people telling me that I should go with quality intake the first time, not buying a lower quality generic one. "do it right the first time" is what i keep hearing from them.
What do you think I should do, AEM SRI or Generic SRI?

here's another opinion to throw into the pot - i think short ram intakes (SRI, as you call it) are a waste of money. You're just sucking warm air into the engine faster. When I had an intake, I went with the Injen Cold Air Intake - yes, I know, it's expensive, but I've read time and again that there is a difference - colder air, even if not hundreds of degrees colder.

I'm sure there are tons of people that disagree with me, not to mention the whole "sucking water into my engine" paranoia which is proven to be unjustified with the Injen, but hey...opinions are like assholes and everyone's got one.

so, my opinion is to go with the Injen, but if you were to go with a SRI, brand is really irrelevant. Hell, you could make one with plastic tubing from Home Depot or Lowe's that works just as well - and people on this forum have. Alot of people have Ractives and BOMZ that think they are the shizzle to thier nizzles.

I like the E-bay one I've got. My phioshpy is if your gonna go F/I, why spend $200 on something you'll be replacing?
