Installing one next weekend, didnt see a guide so I made one. Maybe someone else can use it as well. Let me know if there's any obvious issues, dont know much about these cars, just reading wiring diagrams.

It seems like a good product. I installed on in my car this weekend (not a mazda) and it seemed daunting at first, but its really not that bad. Has a lot of functions and setting the tune up is very straight forward. Has a few auto tune setups that make changing injector sizes or retarding timing very easy.

For anyone interested, you can download the software here and play with it without having to have the unit connected

Just download, install and then when you open the software, point to the AEM folder, and open the Base.cal file and you can see how all the modifications are made. Its very straight forward.

wow talk about a thread that needs to be bumped i was looking for this a while ago and couldnt find it and just stumbled upon it today.

This is not working.
Our car have Mag style sensor, not Hall effect.
And the car is stalling after 1 second when we are intercepting the MAF signal

I just reacently bought a AEM F/IC, I have been following the forun to help me install it my self but found that there are some issues with the wireing diagram posted. I have found the sensors are indead MAG style sensors although they do have three wires (crenk) comming out of it. (the cam is also MAG) i will post a wireing diagram hopefully this weekend with the correct wiring.

I did see some had issues with taping the maf sensor. the AEM F/IC has to be set to reading percent and not voltage before you start the car. then get your base line and clamp your sensor before you add any boost to the configuration.

I will keep you guys posted as i progress in my install.
