AEM dry-flow air filters

Does anyone know if the AEM dryflow filters perform any better than the original AEM filters that need to be oiled? I'm deciding wheather or not i should buy one. Also, can you just soap and water to clean it? or do you actaully need to buy their cleaning solution.

They work better in that they do not coat your MAF with excess oil from the filter.

As for filtering, I don't know.

U can clean it w/ soap and water but it may be harsh on the filter and what are you going to oil it with? The K&N is a complete kit w/ the cleaner & oil. It's a two-step process and you'll need to do this over night, preferably when it's not very humid. Make sure you do not over oil or you'll have to do the cleaning all over again. I forgot why I did not get the dryflow. I don't remember if it was the price or not. Well, good luck!

I meant cleaning the dryflow with soap and water.. I have the older style of the AEM filter that is like the K&N one and I do have cleaner/oil.. I just debating if it is worth switching to the dryflow.
