advice on front bumper

I am having problems(scratch) with my front bumper after I took it off to paint it. The clip in front of the fender that holds the bumper is not holding the bumper where the seams meet. It looks like it should snap over the tabs but it will not fit in there all the way and the part that does will not stay in. It looks like the bolt might let it adjust but is there any tips or advice on how to get it to stay put?

Dave, I don't really have any idea on what the problem might be. However my brother had an 07 MZ3 Hatch which was having a problem similar to yours after a hail storm. We took his car to Caliber collision repair to have it fixed and when we recieved the car back it seemed fine. However, a couple of weeks ago when we tried to remove the bumper to replace the fog lights we noticed a MAJOR problem. Caliber decided since they couldn't fix the problem they decided to GLUE the bumper back onto the car on the sides inside the two side brackets. So my advice would be if you can figure out someway to fix it yourself, do it. If you upload a picture of the section in question so I could get a better idea of what your problem is I will do whatever I can to help you out because I know this can be a pain in the a**.
