-Adjustable Short Throw Shifter-

Does anyone have the "adjustable short throw shifter" from Protegegarage.com. The TWM is a little out of my price range and I was wondering how well this shifter performs. If anyone knows what brand it is, what its modeled after, or if you have any opinions on it at all I would be glad to hear any of that stuff.
Thanx, Ben.

Looks to me just like the perrin adjustable shift shifter... i have it and like it. The only problem with it being adjustable is that you have to make sure you get the allen bolt tight or it might slip while going down the road. Not to mention you might want to drive with the shift boot off for a little bit so you can adjust it to where you want it.

the megan shifter isn't bad, just a little clunky because it replaces the whole pivot assembly. if you can find a kartboy or corksport shifter, get one of those. if you can't find a kartboy or corksport shifter, save up for the twm - it would be worth it.

by the way, i've had a few different shifters in my car: stock protege, megan/obx, MSP, and kartboy. the kartboy is my favorite. the knob is almost 3" lower than stock, and the throw is also short and tight. everyone that has driven my car has made some positive comment about it. the megan/obx (they are pretty much the same thing, and similar to the B&M) would be the tallest aftermarket shifter available, at about 1" shorter than stock. if you want a shorter throw, with a similar shifter height, get this one. however, because it replaces the whole pivot assembly, its also the most troublesome. the pivot bushing on mine started to wear out and the it became very noisy and loose. the vibrations that would come through were annoying, so i removed it and installed an MSP shifter. this was a nice set-up, but the throw was long. its basically the same as the stock protege shifter, just shorter.
