Adjustable End Links

Ok, another nOOb question. I searched the forums, and google, but couldn't find a good answer. --Sorry--

Im replacing my struts, so I went ahead and ordered adjustable end links, because my front ones are almost gone, and I heard they can be hard to take off.

What advantage can adjusting end links give you? I will probably set them to the same length as stock, but Im just curious if there is any advantage to the adjustable part.

Thanks,
Ross

Adjustable endlinks let you adjust the preload on the sway bar. That will let you stiffen up the front end. It's not a huge advantage, but don't have any disadvantages as far as i know.

Actually you don't want to preload the anti-roll bar. Adjustable end links are normally used to take preload out of the bar when the car is sitting on a level floor. If the end links are adjusted for a static preload the bar will try pull up one wheel and push down on the opposite wheel. Not good for handling. If a car is lowered shorter links should be used, adjustable end links will allow some change in link length.
