That car was actually in the April 2004 issue of Import Racer. It is the same issue that they did the bolt-ons for an msp. I actually was just looking through it the other day and then happened to see this thread tonight. Beautiful car!!

Agreed! That thing is total sex, I wish the scale model RX-7 I had was that color instead of a laser blue-ish color. My dream car forever, if only I wasn't a poor college student that can only afford to have one car at a time The p5 is my compromise-mobile

Good luck with it, and definitely do some cosmetic mods so that people recognize it as your car.

To be honest I feel the same way as you guys do about the side skirts but it came with the car and the previous owner also has an extra set that he gave me. He picked up the extra set cause he was planning on drifting the car and knew that he would thrash the side skirts. So I'll have to see what it looks like behind the side skirts to see if there are scratches on the body. If so then the skirts are staying until I could get the car repainted.

WOW...yeah the side skirts are a bit funky for my taste but the car is beautiful! I'm an uber 3rd gen rx-7 fan...but have been unsure about owning due to a lot of horror stories and reliability problems I've heard/read/seen over the years...What's your take on all that and how is the beast holding up?
