Adding the remote start to the system

I bought it around $230 on eBay and just paid $150 to a car audio installer. Don't buy it thru the dealership and don't let the dealership install it cuz they will charge you a lot. I think they charged me $600-$700 for everything (parts and labor). I said NO, thanks.

Thanks a million for the input! Thats what I thought.

From what I gathered with CX7 owners, the OEM Remote Starter works best to utilize the "Quick Stop" feature, autolocks, etc plus the OEM has an excellent range. I could remotely start my car behind 2 buildings, no kidding. So, if i were you, I would really get the OEM. I've had no problems with it since I had them installed.

I second that. I have a Viper remote start on my Mazda 6 and the factory remote start on my CX-9. The factory unit has a range about 3X greater than the Viper.
