mongo2004,
I have a Sport Manual also. Did you run new wires fore and aft for the camera? If so, which route did you take? Thanks!
I added a camera to my 2016 sport with factory infotainment system. There is some work required. In a nutshell:
You have to source a camera. Easiest is to get a 6v camera as that is what the radio supplies. You can use 12v but will need a relay.
There is no pins in the radio harness. I sourced them from a plug off of a mazda 6 in a junk yard.
The stock wire path is from the radio to the driver kick panel. This wire is missing. There is a wire that runs from the kick panel to the rear tailgate. That wire exists. Then there should be a wire from the tailgate harness to the camera. It is missing.
You need to add the pins to the radio harness, run a wire to the kick panel, add pins to the plug there or cut and solder into the factory wire (it's a big grey wire with the 4 small wires inside). Then you need to run a wire from the tailgate harness to your camera.
I used 1A,1B,1C,1D on this diagram:

A is video
B is video ground
C is +6vDC
D is ground
Also, you have to reboot the radio fully for it to recognize the camera. That can be done by pulling the battery, waiting like 20 minutes or holding back, mute and navigation for ten seconds (I think is the combo. If not, try mute, music and back)
Honestly, I saw somebody say something about 300 for the factory one.. It probably is worth the money. I spent $35 on the camera, $5 on pins, had the wires but easily spent 20 hours doing the job. Of course, I would say only about 2 or 3 would be required if you knew exactly what you were doing. I took half the car apart and traced wires for hours.
