It should sound good, however that amp (depending on it's frequency range and power output) and the box may hinder it.

Keep in mind that subs move air, so having ample space inside the box is essential as well. I'm assuming that amp is 500 watts?

I have the bose sub on top of the spear so maybe I could hook up the amp with the stock amp.

You have a mazda6 with the bose package?

The stock amp is rather weak and will not power a bigger amp, in my opinion.... is that sub you have a 10 or 12 inch?

this has nothing to do with showing off your 6. moved to the car audio section.

Can I run the in and out wire and remote wire with the stock sub if I splice them and tie them to each other? I have all the wires ready to go other than those 3. Ran the + wire to the back already. Well that is a bad pic but it was geting dark out.

There's a walkthrough for the speed6 on wiring an aftermarket sub and amp to the stock wiring.....

Works the same for the regular mazda6.... with the possibility of a wire or 2 being a different color. Depends on the year of your car.

Did you run the power wire around your door jam? That's what it looks like from how you ran it off to the side... If you did indeed do that, fix it. People dont see to realize that if you ground out that wire to the door jam what can happen. You're basically sending 12V's to every circuit's ground in the car until the fuse pops. Not to mention I cant see a fuse link by the battery. If you didnt fuse it and it ground out from being pinched over and over, you can cause your battery to explode.... When a battery explodes it's like a shotgun.

Just so you know, if you remove the battery you can EASILY see a grommet you can use to run the wire properly through the firewall. Just a thought.

It has a fuse and I will see if I could run the wire through the fire wall.
I am not sure what wires are what on the stock sub.redblue/brown/redblack/yellow/brown/-black.
