A little bird told me.......(MS3)

I got more info on the price. The Sport model will start at 23K w/o destination charge. The new SCC will have the MS3 on the cover and will say 262 hp for under 24K. I was trying to see if I could get some kind of discount, but according to my source demand is high right now in Japan and Aus. for the MS3, so production will be stretched. I guess we can expect dealers to mark these badboys up.

this is good news, basically the ms3 is playing into the hands as i want it too...i just need to get the rest of the duckies lined up in a row and ill be set, hopefully a year from now ill be driving a ms3. I dont know which color since i love black but want something different but the red does not interest me the silver is too light and the blue well its not blazing blue but i might get that one for rareity and a hopeful price drop.

Uh, oh. Time to start looking for dealers who won't mark it up.

all dealers will mark up...the thing is how good are your negotiation skills ;)

I'm wondering if you can pre-order and negotiate MSRP on paper? I am not sure if marking them up will be a good thing though. The WRX wagon with AWD would be a bit cheaper, not to mention the 92x. I think if we all stick to our guns and not buy over MSRP, we will get the best price :D.

i do too, the thing is to stay firm on what you want and i learned this from my father when we went to get my p5....

they wanted full price plus options back in may 03, granted people have gotten better deals then i have for a new p5 at the time but i think we got a fair deal. basically we got the car for msrp + options, which was sunroof and 6 cd changer for 17K and some change. add 0% apr for three years to that mix and it came to 500 a month with 0 down....

New SCC out, here is a quote:

"For the last year, the sub 23K price range has been the domain of the GTI and Civic Si. But you simply can't compare those two to the Mazdaspeed 3; it really is that good."

I just bought my MSP not too long ago and honestly i'm scared to drive my MS3 because I have a feeling that I will be trading my car on the spot.

And hp per Mazda per the article is 263. So, I'm wondering 263 SAE corrected? On 91 octane? If so, the giddy speculation follows that the MS3 will have almost if the not the same power output as the MS6 on 93. Can I get an amen! Amen!

not really it was a new p5 we got invoce i beleive i dont remember anymore but in the end we got a good price for the area. remember i live in the northeast and cars go for more here....i mena yeah its 500 a month which is high BUT mines paid off already....plus i didnt pay for it

plus how did i get owned?

it was timing working against you as much as you didnt get that good of a deal, i got an 03.5 p5 about 6 months before the 3 was slated to be released, for that reason the finance mngr even told me all they wanted to do was get the p5's and proteges off the lot so they room for their first shipment of 3's.

sticker on my car was 17,900, i added 2 or 3 options, walked out the door paying just under 13,900...i think they made a few hundred bucks on my sale.

=)

i need to figure if I can afford the MS3 GT model with the ford Aplan price...or if it there is that much of a different between the two when it comes to dealer cost.
