A couple questions...

Tried doing some searching to no avail....
I have two questions...for now. But I'll start with these.

I'm looking to pick up a longblock to build on the side while I'm still DDing, I don't have a second car. I know that the FSDE was offered in the 626, MX6, Protege and the Probe. My question is, are there any engine updates, or what year/model combos will work as a direct swap (disregarding turbos, manifolds, etc) for the MSP?

My second question is,.. I ordered one of the 3" PEP downpipes, but never got the thermostat spacer and whatnot. What are my options? Is the SpeedCircuit thermostat outlet kit my only option with this current DP?

I've put off a build for way too long, so thanks in advance for helping answer these questions.

for the first question go with the 01-03 protege 2.0 engines the earlier ones will work but the crank is weaker and may not hold up to the boost of the turbo. also the heads used a distributor for the 2nd question i have no idea

For your second question, you MIGHT not need the spacer. I was worried about it, but after installing it, there's still plenty of room between the DP and the hose.
