Hey guys,

I love my 02' MP5 but I have also been working on a 97' dakota for a while now and I finally got it out of the garage about a month ago. I know it's not a mazda but I know everyone here is open about any vehicles so I just want some feedback on what you all think of her, hope you like!!!(2thumbs)

It took a while to get everything just right. I know this might seem odd but I am proud mostly of the drop on the truck. I like lowered trucks but not slammed ones because it is too much for me. So I ended up doing a 3/5 drop and it was perfect.

Your Dakota is sweet. It is very clean looking. I like the look of it lowered but could never do that to mine. It would drag on too many rocks off road.

Now my pro is lowered and doesn't see even dirt roads. what a contrast.

Since I am a MOPAR fan ( 1st car was a 1970 Dodge Charger) how about some more pictures of your Dakota?

nope, its not an r/t. When I bought it she has a 3.9 V6 for now, but I have already purchased a wrecked r/t that I will be using. I am going to swap out most of the suspension components and in about a year from now I will be dropping in a 408ci, or as it's most commonly referred to "the lightning killer"

very nice...

^ Definitely keep us posted on this. If I lived closer, I'd be bumming rides. :D For the longest time, if I were ever to get a non-diesel truck, I would have gotten a dakota (diesel would be Ram 3500 dually all teh way). Since they 'updated' the body styling in the last year or so, I don't like it as much and I really find myself drawn to the Colorado/Canyon.

the grill looks odd since it doesn't have the Dodge "crosshair". None the less, looks good, Rick.

The new colorados I think are very nice, lots of potential I see for aftermarket and customizing. My brother just bought a new Audi so he's selling his Lightning. I came real close to getting it off him but I just knew the Dakota will be more fun in the long run

The grille if from a body kit from Cervini's. It is a the front grille from their Viper style kit. I like it, I can't stand the oem front end on the dodge
