97 auto power upgrades

My protege has 174k on the clock. I just got it. But like all other 1.5 owners. I'm looking to get a bit more power. Is there any chip upgrades(that work) true CAI or other upgrades that work well with these cars? I'm new to this forum as well as the mazda car. So any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Not really any real performance upgrades for the 1.5L (that I know of anyway). I put a custom short intake on mine. Throttle response increased a bit, but that's about it besides noise. I did have a CAI, but there were no noticable performance gains so I went back to the short intake.
