I have a 93 Mazda Protege that will not start. The engine rotates fine, but will not start. There is a new fuel filter & pump installed, new alternator & battery installed. I have changed the coil & ignitor assembly (ignition module). I can not detect spark at the plug wire ends or at coil wire end. I have tested all wires for resistance and all check out. I ahve accessed the diagnoistic codes and I am getting the code 02 which is for the ditributor or pcm or components. I have tried spraying starting fliud in throttle body and got a limited sputtering or feeble attempt to start, but nothing major. I should have used brake clean fliud, but did not have it at the time. I have voltage at the terminal for the coil & voltage at the terminal for the ignitor assembly. Please give any advice that seems fit to give at this point. I am at a crossroad.

hello

hi, im cristian , my lenguage isnt english, so excuse me if a write something wrong,.
a couple days ago i check a mazda protege 91, the car dont start,
there's not spart at all, i check the wires that goes on the coil, there are two wire, one positive and one negative, i have my positive, but i dont have my negative, i check on the wire diagram, and the negative comes from the igniter. the igniter has three wire. one negative, that is the same nevative that goes to the fuelpump. it has a positive that came from the pcm, and the thrid goes to the igniter.
the igniter has the negative all the time, the positive came when the car is cranking, and running, so with the positive and the negative the igniter let go through the thrid wire the negative that need the coil to work.
in conclution my problem was that i don have the negative that goes to the coil, that came from the igniter, but my problem wasn't the igniter, my problem was i dont have the positive (that came from the pcm) that feed the igniter. so i need a computer (pcm) and may be the same problem you have.
check if u have your negative in the coil.(eek2)
