828 or 919

I read on the front page of mazdamp3.com that one of the differences between the U.S. and Canadian versions was the 919 for the U.S. and the 828 for Canada. I bought my MP3 in the U.S. and mine was equipped with the 828. Does anyone know why or when they changed the systems?

I called Mazda and they told me 1180 blue, 320 yellow.

yea, maybe the dealer switched it or something, i donno, but i love it, i can't see why all the mag's hate on the stereo.

828 is def a better piece of equip...i got the 919 and well i had it replaced 3 times because it just doesnt measure up to something i would expect from this company and especially in this car....828 all the way

personaly i think someone on mazda ordering end ****** up and ordered the expencive ones
(828) when they realized what was going on
they ordered the 919's.
has anyone had a hardtime getting a 828 replacement for their 919,
i bet if i went in with my 828 and asked for a 919......... no problem

you have to think about the production line and when they numbered the cars...ether off the line or in the lot. also the mp3 is a protege with upgrades. i bet if we checked all the protege's vin's including the mp3's
the would be in order. i almost sure they just picked(in bulk)the cars to turn into mp3's.
look at the numbers

# 256 blue

I was thinking on getting a new mp3 player and like the look and features of the 828...how does the id tags work? good...if not i may get the new pioneer mp3 player..its cheaper and still has a cool display..but no id3 tag display...i can get the kenwood for 399 on ebay..the pioneer will go for around 300
