8" rims

235? I'm going to say Not Likely...

I tried 225 and even with camber, it rubbed.

Others have made 225 work, but that is one FAT tire for this car.

i had 225/45, but on a 16" wheel. som maybe go with 225/40 if thats possible. Also, the offset is very important on these cars, their fenders are not so wide so you want to go with a higher offset(like 42), but not too high so it doesnt rub the suspension.

Just out of curiousity, but why 235 series tires on a car with about 100 whp? It's not like there's a lot of power you need to get to the ground.

My old speed3 had about 270whp with 225 series tires and i had to try really hard to get those wheels spinning. I can't imagine 235 series tires on my P5. All you're really doing is adding a whole lot of weight to each corner.

There is one person I know that ran 235/40/18 on RX8 stocks on a P5. but there was too much work involved, always rubbing and increased tire wear.

also the 8" might rub against the stock strut.

how do you know its stock? it also depends on other factors like the tire its self. my old tires i had didnt have a problem spining from a 5 mph roll and im on 215s. my brothers cobalt ss had major traction issues on 235s till we found a good tire and we still cant get it to hook up on the track. what tires were you running on your speed 3 we may have to try those

I have a set of enki's off an evo 8 i wanna put on the tires on them now are 235/50r17. I tried them on but since my car is lowered it hits the fender in the front also the tire is barely touching the strut so i was wondering if 235/45 or 40 would be ok?

^ Yupp I'm bout to run 205/50 however I'm on stock rims. Don't wanna go with too fat a tire on this car

Cool, I have evo wheels on my msp , I'm lowered so had to get smaller tires 215/40/17
