The front may not be the sway bar bushings... I went to replace mine to find out that they were fine. turns out its my bearing plates for the struts that are bad.

However we need to know what mods you have for your car is any.

Cylinder head cover gasket, o-ring in the flange for the turbo oil return line & the gasket at the block for starters. Both will leak at some point if one or both is not already at your mileage mark. Very easy fixes. Might also want to change your transaxle gear oil, flush the brake fluid and refill with fresh stuff, change the coolant, check the drive belts, change the pcv and spark plugs. Last but not least do a Seafoam treatment.

Like what boostr has mention all fluids would be ideal to replace. he also brings up a the oil return line which are known for leaking(i forgot all about it). With cars of this age might as well do coolant, rad hoses, turbo elbow hose that the turbo coolant line goes to, and t-stat. Id also save up for a new timing belt soon. might as well inspect the brake pads as well.

Cylinder Head Cover Installation Note
1. Verify that the grooves on the cylinder head cover are free of oil, water and other foreign material.
2. Install the cylinder head cover gasket into the cylinder head cover.
3. Apply silicone sealant to the cylinder head as
shown.

Yea i changed that last oil change. But could u tell me how you personally do the seafoam treatments, ive read most of the ways to do it but im just looking for input on the best ways to do it specifically for the msp.

I seafoam everything. I pour it in the intake mani via pcv port and put some in the gas tank. You can also put it in the crank case but I don't usually do that.

Make sure that the engine is warmed up to normal operating temperature. Disconnect the hose from the top of the PCV and stick a funnel in it. The engine will try to cut off since you have and open air source. You can goose the throttle with your right hand and pouring the seafoam in slowly with your left hand. You don't need a lot of RPMs. The engine will stall out after pouring about 1/3 of the can in there. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then start the car. I hold the engine at 2000 rpms for a minute and then let it idle until it smooths out and stays around 700, then I go for a drive and get rid of the rest of the smoke. Always put the rest in the gas tank with the next fillup.

I've done back to back treatments, let it sit for longer than 5 minutes and overnight. Just make it a regular part of your preventative maintenance routine for best results.

If you put it in your crankcase then don't exceed 3,000 miles without changing the oil. Seafoam added this recommendation a few years ago.

You can also take the line connected to your brake booster and pour it into that using the same method Boostr uses.

Alright guys i think ill do it this weekend thanks for the tips, but alright i got a pretty good idea now about what i gotta do. Thanks alot for the input if anyone else has anything to add please feel free thanks.
