626 vs. protege

Hey guys....

Does anybody know if the fs (2) engine of the 626 has the same
forged crankshalft as the proteges?????

From what I remember I don't think any north american FS had the forged crank until 2001 protege models...And there is a slew of other little internal differences between the Probe SE/MX-6 base/626 non v6 models and the 01+ Protege FS as well...
