626 Mani Worth It Or Not Worth It????

u know, now that you mention it, we have enough torque down low to sacrifice some....
i dunno, maybe we if figure out how to fix the other issues like low idle and bogging on first then the manifold would be much better.

i have it installed...and to tell you thr truth, i have gotten so used to the issues that i don't notice them anymore

Low idle? bogging? are u sure this is from the IM? Are u running aftermarket engine managment?

if he's on N/A I could see how that could be occuring even with EMS, nothing really happens between 1.5-2.5K really, by 3.5K it really starts to pull and then continues to pull to redline, I'm on stock ECU but the loss is significant enough that it wouldn't be made up easily without some kind of F/I, which is why it's not so bad for turbo applications. Still a good mod for N/A, you just have to get used to having all your power in a different place.

what about idle and warm up times and such.
i recall reading around here that it makes the warm up time on the care riddled with idling issues.....

can anyone else confirm / deny this?
I've had the IM on my 1.8L for about 3 weeks, no problems, idles better I'd say and warms up just as fast.

So it feels like a honda:D

Yes I can also verify this. But it isnt anything to big. I daily drive my msp and this manifold hasnt made it anymore difficult. I will say I would do this again if I had to choose all over again. It is noticeable to me. Totally worth it.

ditto

im geting this manifold soon and getting my fidanza flywheel installed soon too. am i gonna have idling problems?

A little torque loss at low rpm would probley be good for me, as traction is horrible.

Getting the car rollingt first then hittin big power might give better et's as you wouldn't lose time due to spinin the tires. Just a thought.

I'm ordering mine, as well as a perrin IC , and 200 direct port n2o kit, so hopefully i notice a difference.

I agree with you on that. I hate it when my wheels are spinning... its like b**** go already so I dont mind losing a little low end and get a bang mid and beyond. You lose a little but gain a LOT!
