626 intake manifold

IV been hearing talk about 626 IM having better flow wen put on protegespeed. Is it the same for the protege 5's? If so what year 626

i put a 626 im on my 03 p5 and love it! it has given a bit more power and a much more aggresive exhaust note. the only issue is the egr tube is different and you will have to find one that will properly route. i found one on ebay but there is probably more places that will have a kit for this

I wouldn't expect gains on a p5, but it will make oil changes 10 times easier.

It kills low end torque, at least that has been my experience with it. I don't know if the p5 could afford to lose any.

Well I don't putter around like a granny so any low end torque loss isn't noticed

I notice it and I'm far from a granny, but to each his own. It's worth it to me because I can reach the oil filter from under the hood now.
