I have the msp with kenwood and want to add kenwood 6disc changer in the trunk anyone done this what model # 6disc should be used.
Also was wondering what do I need to add to get my sirius to work . do I have to have little control pad like I have seen in my friend car or will the headunit control switching stations . Would love to see any pics of 6disc installs and sirius installs .

your changer would plug into the sirius box, nothing special needed, as for the changer check at www.crutchfield.com they should have all of the information you need, but I think any kenwood changer made from 99 to present will work

interesting question

as I understand it, the MSP kenwood unit has one input for a CD Changer, which is also the input used of sirius. This is a problem for me because I just got sirius (havent activated yet) and had been planning on using the disc changer input as an aux input for some sort of dvd player/lcd/carputer or something in the future.

However if what i said is true, this wont work and the only way to do it would be if i got the aux adapter which converts the disc changer input to rca. then got an rca switch and hooked lcd up to one and sirius up to the other. but i cant imagine that would retain any satelite tuning capabilities so...........hmph

I really hate to spend any money on another HU since i dont like the look of any on the market and the stock one is otherwise fine for my needs but it looks like i may have to

ooh, do you mean to say the sirius box has an input? so i could use the aux adapter from there?!!?

oooooh!

TO answer the sirius control Q.... YOu would not need an externtal control pad, the deck has sirius tuner capabilities in it. you just need an antenna and then a hideaway box.
