5th Annual LRP Mazda Corral

LRP is one of the better tracks where you can actually watch the race from ANYWHERE basically. Turn 1/the esses for the start and move to west bend/the uphill...great track, great cars, I can't wait!

Was the discount code ever posted? I'm not seeing it in the thread?

Also, anyone think I'd be over-doing it to bring the 8 and the Miata? (it would require 2 corral tickets, $35 more than 1 corral + 1 general admission for the weekend)

Personally...with gas prices, I'd leave one vehicle at home. There's going to be plenty of Mazdas :D

But, of course, it's up to you. :D

Just found out Amanda has a conference to attend the Thursday before this in Holyoke. Of course, her school won't let her take Friday off because its before a long weekend. Too bad, would've worked out nicely if she could've attended the conference on Thursday and we'd be half way there for Friday.

I don't think there was a discount code.... unless I missed something? I still haven't bought the ticket just because the $100 makes me cringe. It was $75 last year..... If it goes up again, this year will be my last full weekend event.

You can always ask Marlon to help you and James out, but you'll have to help out with the corral stuff. I've been helping in corral stuff while getting in for free from my military ID... So it's something to keep in mind.

p.s. Yeah, I'm in for free again this year..... Military ID and all. ;)

So before i screw up and buy something wrong, If your bringing a Mazda you need a corral ticket right? I am bringing my 8 and the girlfriend is coming with me so she needs a general admission.

I also have 2 cousins wanting to bring their Speed3s, do they need a corral ticket...or can they get a cheaper ticket and just park at camp grounds or something?

That's all correct. The corral ticket gets you (the driver) and your car in and your g/f would just need a general admission ticket.

If they want to park with us (in the Mazda Corral) they'll need to buy a Corral Ticket. If they just want to be there and are content with their cars sitting in the sea of cars in the regular parking lot...then they can either buy a general admission ticket, park outside the track (free) and walk over and hang out with us...or they can buy general admission and infield parking (extra 15 bucks) and make the walk over to the corral a little shorter :)

We have no control over the pricing that LRP, that is Skip Barber and Lime Rock Park. If you look at what we are offering with the ticket, 6 quarts of oil, Castrol swag, free meal and beverage, also it is a write off on your taxes as this is a charity event. We understand that a $100.00 is a lot of money, so we try to give you value for your money. Not trying to be an ass, but trying to get you to look at things from a different perspective and show you the value of what you are receiving.

If you want to be part of the corral and receive all of the benefits of the corral, that is the ticket you need. In order to get on the parade laps, raffles, giveaways, Castrol & Grand-Am swag and dyno, the $100 ticket is needed. They do have the option to buy a Gen Admission ticket and check out the races and hang with the rest of us.

awesome thanks guys. Yea i was always going to buy the Corral Ticket for myself...just was going to give my cousins options. I think the giveaways and stuff are worth the $100, but we will all know for sure that weekend :-)

A weekend of racing for $100 is still an awesome deal, especially when you can sit where ever you want for the races. In comparison a ticket for a decent seat at NH Motorspeedway for one day will cost you $100.
