Alright for clarification, the EGR on my car (right now for the testing) is not hooked up at all (other than the electrical harness). The port on the exhaust manifold has a cap on it, and the intake manifold does not have a port for it at all. The tube is completely removed from the car. I have the valve itself ziptied down near the battery, with the harness plugged into it.
I figured I would have a CEL from it by now, but nope (knocks on wood). 150 miles and I drove it in traffic a shitload today. Other than the P0507 code for the throttle cable being pulled too tight at first, I haven't thrown a code from anything.
I am filling up the car with a fresh tank of gas tomorrow, and then taking a 300 mile highway trip sometime this week. If anything is going to break or go wrong, it will hopefully do so during the trip. I don't want any of you to have any issues with this thing. It will also be nice to see what happened to the gas mileage (if anything).
Other than the slight bracket revisions and vac port tweaks, I am pretty sure we are ready to rock. I already have 20 each of the TB flange, head flange, and plenum floor plate being worked on, and those are the keys. Once those are done, getting the runners cut and the plenums welded up will go quickly. I won't let this project stop progressing like some of you are fearing.
Thank you to everyone for your interest, understanding, and patience with me throughout this whole thing. I am confident that it will be more than worth your while in the end. (rockon)
