its the same as injen cai since they both get air from the semi sealed space in front of left front wheel.

but 505 box seal the air filter inside engine bay , makes it harder for water splash to get into the intake system.

definitely a better choice, especially for rainning season or off road trip like i would do LOL

I was planning on relocating my MAF and doing an ebay FMIC when I did the installation anyways so the filter isn't that big of a deal. Sadly this will probably stretch my install time out to 2 months past when I get the kit since I will have to find a nice weekend to rip the front off of my car. Im so excited to see the parts ready.

Yes.

8" filter will fit if it starts at 6" diameter and tapers. Larger than that and you might have to crush it in against the back of the headlight.

guess i would need to angle the filter roughly 10degree to make it fit with OE light

but my HID wire end are much longer might make it even difficult to fit

maybe 2nd batch Rich could move the hole few cm away from the headlight, that case we might be able to fit a foot long sandwhich in there.

ALL piping kits are 100% fabbed and over at Wes' place for VCB and BPV port welding. Should have those back by Wednesday.

I am picking up the black anodized sample at 10AM tomorrow. If I get an answer from Jay, Circuit, and RX before 5PM tomorrow I will drop the boxes off to get anodized.

I received the shipping boxes, but they were the wrong size. Luckily though, I tracked some down locally that will work, and am going to go pick them up tomorrow afternoon.
