4w alignment covered under warranty?

hello,

My wife and I bought a Mazda3 (5-speed of course!) back in 2004 and have been pretty happy with it so far. Recently we noticed there is a pretty signifigant negative camber on both rear tires and it is chewing up the insides of the tires pre-maturely. The car has a little under 40,000 on it and I was wondering if this is something that should be covered under the warranty? We don't carry heavy loads or anything so I'm not really sure what would even cause them to do this..any input would be appreciated.

thanks...

i think its only covered in the first year of the warranty... deffinatly bring it in and see what they say though if you have that much neg camber there could be something wrong... the 3 does have neg camber in the back from the factory i think the alignment specs are -1 (+/- 1.2) or something like that.

thanks for the quick response..so if it isn't under warranty what should I expect an adjustment like that to reasonably cost?

thanks again..

an alignment depending on where it is done a dealer will probably be a bit over 100 and a normal shop in the 60-80 range i would imagine... not sure where you live (us/canada?)

around 100 is certainly doable. I'm in US...southeast Texas to be more precise. I need to figure out how to edit my profile...

s***, if you got 40k on your stock tires, nothing about premature wear there! Everyone else on here has got to be jealous of that
