400 WHP yet?

I know it doesnt count but I have "jerk" friend that dynoed 427whp on race gas @ 30psi on his protege5, seen it in the dyno, racing and s***, everytime he tries pump gas he blows the head gasket... hes an asshole.

I dont know how reliable and/or safe is to run more than 350whp on pump gas

theres one putting down 410 in cali

I believe Terry picked up a Sylvia.

My plans for 400 just got slapped silly... the rods and pistons I got from MAM don't fit together.. intereference issues with the small end of the rod (Oliver rods) not fitting into the CP piston... rubbing on the underside of the piston... so I'm SOL right now until I get that remedied.. probably pushed me back like 4-6 weeks.. which REALLY pisses me off.

Oh well.. but it'll happen.

LOL, what you talking about willis. It's a pretty common phrase. blkzoomzoom didn't invent it, and he doesn't own it. What all the hate? Anyways, I'm assuming you are referring to blkzoomzoom's thread by the same name, which was actually dated after corwin's post.

damn, thats a wierd problem... the first I've heard of with the Oliver Rods and CP pistons... what CR, rod length, etc. combo did you go with?

Oliver "long" rods, 8.9:1 CP pistons. Yeah, Beau was shocked as well. I'm talking to CP on monday to figure out what the heck is up... and hopefully sort out from there... I'm quite pissed because this means I'll be missing some of my races... which is going to put me back in the points standings... hopefully I can make it up.. and hopefully I only miss one or two.. but I have two points races in the next 4 weeks... grr... I'm hesitant to just have my machinist take material out of the pistons to get them to fit though... I'd rather CP remake them... so we'll see... But i have to figure out if there was a miscommunication or if CP messed up... so dunno!

Sorry to hear that Steve, seems things have been going pretty well on the rebuild so far. Best of luck, sucks you might have to miss some races.
