Eh whatever... the kid knows nothing and will prolly blow the s*** out the car. Im glad he daddy will pay top dollar to rice out an msp but i really doubt hell have 500hp car and know how to drive it but he can talk about it all he want.

He can have 500 horse all he wants... but he won't be able to keep it together.. you can hit any number you want... just a matter of how long it will last in the end... I'm trying to make a streetable 400+ monster that can go without popping anything for 50K plus... any keep motor freshening and clutch replacements to about every 15K.

Yeah you maybe right...but he has deep pockets and you dont have to know anything...you pay someone to do the knowing for you. Especially when titan motorsports and etc are deciding what to do...he just has to show them the $$$. doesnt have to drive it hard because he probally wants the dyno sheet for his show car...apparently dynos are hot s*** at shows...go figure. Pretty lame but hes not a bad guy at all. hes actually pretty nice...I was suprised he still remembered me.

Yeah I love how titan motorsports doesnt do anything for you unless you are like a special customer (meaning you have $$$). I went there asking about IC piping and they just told me to go to CFT. Which isnt bad but I like the guys at titan...it sucks that they most cater to VIPs and supras.
I do but money cures all...if money can make a Geo Metro run 10s why cant it make a Protege...give our cars more credit. I dont drive a POS car...it aint the fastest thing but its by far not crap just because the motor cant handle XX amount of hp stock. Thats the problem with this forum...no one believes in their cars. Gets me down whenevver I read the forum. From "I love my Mazda" to "Blah this car sucks because its not making 1000 hp"...WTF? Given these arent the greatest engines but the biggest problem why no one has reached the magic number is not soly the engines fault. Its also because we have a super slim after market. You can build an engine to handle any amount of power...isnt that what drag racing is? But hey im not the one to care about high hp in a FWD car...kinda pointless to me.
Hey this is what he says...I will wait until I see a dyno sheet before I make any comments. 500 hp is alot and its some thing im definately not looking for. im happy with 300 hp on high boost and low boost for reliability and daily drivability. hey but if he says he can and thats his aim im sure it can be done.
I want this to end here because im not debting if the protege can put the power down. I just dont like that kid. I dont believe anything that comes out his mouth. End of story.
Also i think it can be done and i obviously wouldnt be talking and asking questions about a tranny that can handle 500plus if i didnt care. All the knowledge on this fourm and all the guys that have high hp cars have gone through a motor or two or at least seen the insides of several. Or spoken to the right guys.
Dont hate on titan theyve come far enough to not want to deal with base level customers that are just going to cause them trouble. They only want to deal with people that have the money and are willing to pay it not just ask about it then go find some bobo shop that'll do it cheaper.
That is why people dont bother with these cars. Everyone is out to get the cheapest price and not pay for qaulity infact it most vendors biggest pet peev's
