3D Modelled Skyline

one of the best uses of lighting i have every seen was in Finding Nemo. the underwater scenes are phenominal. making a model fit the enironment it belongs in or that you are trying to place it in depends upon the lighting alone. you can't stick a vehicle outside with a shiny/gloss super reflective material while using a bitmap with an overcast as your background. it doesn't add up. having a better render software helps too (Vray, Brazil, Mentalray, Renderman, etc.)

nice, the farthest into CG i got was in high school when I still spent all my time using truespace and all of its subsequent releases. A little bryce#d for environments but nvr got into 3DSM although I always had free access to all the software.

I like all the pieces in this thread , obviously all of different levels of quality and the amount of time put into each varies, and so I would expect.
