50%? it looks darker than the pic you show. I have 35% and a bunch of people think it's too light. could you take another pic?
Maybe it is literally "all around" (windshield too). I was thinking the same as you.

heres mine, its 5% in the rear and 35% fronts. i already ot pulled over for it but didnt get a ticket. until then its stayin on.lol.
as long as the front doors are in legal tint% the rest of the windows could be walled papered. and it's not a waste cause I need to have a persription to get anything past 35% in the state my vehicle is registered(ohio).

See i like that, I have a titanium, so it would like awesome. I may go a little darker then 35, maybe 30ish.... THANKS MAN

They're not that good of an example for tint, but here are 2 pics of mine. 35% in 4 front windows, 20% in the back 3.

Not the best shots to see the tint, but it's been raining here constantly for the past 10 days, and the car is filthy. No more pics till it's cleaned up a bit :)

If its not too late, I'll post pics tomorrow. I got some good pictures to show that will realy show you the difference between 20% and 35%.

Just did the install early today. So tomorrow after work I'll put the pics up.

You applied your own tint? Man, I tried that in high school (back in the Dark Ages)...it lasted about a day before I ripped it off. Sloppy!

Much of a difference from the inside?

I like this thread but am still looking for more opinions on this. I'm scheduled to have a clear bra and tint put on next Wednesday. My State's tint laws are 35% front/rear doors & back window and I'm thinking of keeping it legal though I've considered maybe doing slightly darker like 30%. I've seen a 5dr 3 with 35% on doors & back from the outside and I could tell a noticeable difference compared to how mine looked (I was parked next to it at the time). Feedback about how much change to expect from inside the car would be greatly appreciated, such as:
-Does it help much when the sun is on the horizon coming at you from the side windows? (uhm) I always misplace sunglasses.
-Will 35% reduce glare from strong headlights, say if another car goes over a bump causing it to flash up at you?
-Does it make much of a difference in keeping the car cool inside?
-Does the car seem darker inside if you're trying to read something as a passenger?
-Is nighttime visibility affected - for example if you're rolling down the street looking out the side for an address or if you're backing up out of a parking space How about on a dark rainy day as well?
-A 6% visor strip is allowed on the windshield here. I'm not sure if it would look better or not from the outside. Anyone have pics of their car with a visor and also how do you like it (inside and/or out)?

Thanks for the help. If I get any tint done I'll post pics as soon as possible.

you won't notice the windows are tinted...till you roll them down for fresh air

Three questions please

1) I was wondering, what percentage tint on the rear window will effect the auto dimming rear view mirror?
2) In Michigan you can tint the rear side and back glass what ever you like, but the front door side glass can only be tinted 4" down from the top which I think looks stupid. So, what do you think of 35% on everything except the front door side glass and windshield which will not get tint.
3) Which color and % would look most like a factory dark tint you might find in a SUV or Minivan?
Thanks!

1 - not sure but I'd like to know too
2 - As far as the exterior I like the look of every side window having the same tint % but that's just my personal preference. As far as the interior goes, well, I'm not really sure because it depends on the answers to my questions.
3 - I'm thinking darker like at least 15%.

Da 6 - so 35% tint for the 6 side windows and the rear window will make no difference for any of those things I asked about?

El Ropo, If you have the auto dimming mirror, does it still work well with 20% tint on the rear glass?
I'm thinking of the same percentages as you, except in Michigan it's not legal to have tint on the front driver and front pass doors, but I'm thinking of putting on 50% anyway just hoping it will look alright and not draw too much attention.
What would you guys do with this kind of law?
Thanks

Sorry, don't have the auto dimming mirror, so I couldn't tell you how it's affected. But I can say the optical quality of the F-1 Tint is IMO fantastic, looking through the rear window. At night, it's as clear to me as if it wasn't tinted at all. No visibility problems here at all.

I've seen many other tint jobs that claim 35% that IMO looked much darker than my F-1 Premier does. I'd bet they have more visibility problems than I do.

What is F-1 Premier? is there a web site, where can I have it installed?
Thanks!

QUESTION!!!
is the f-1 premier a type of tint? better Quality etc?? I want to get tints, but ive seen some crappy jobs. The guys i usually get my tints done from always did a nice job, but on my OLD mazda (a 92) After 12 yrs of having it, I got pulled over and had to take them off...and they turned pruplish (obviously from age and sun) But what should i look for in getting tints???

THANKS

F-1 is short for Formula one. They have very high quality films, and are very picky about who installs their film. I wouldn't say it's AS GOOD AS Huber Optik, but it's very close for about 60% of the price. The 'Premier' is a grade of their films, they have (to the best of my knowledge) 4 levels of tint quality, the Premier is just right below their best, which is called 'Ultimate'.

Here's their website. The premier is awesome stuff, cuz the interior visibility to the outside is excellent, while it keeps over 50% of the heat out at 35% tint grade.

Great Tint
