3 child seats in 2nd row?

If the question was for me, I might have left you confused. We had rear facing seats behind driver and center console. The passenger side was left empty for parents who needed to attend. Hope this makes sense.

Question was for OlivierQC, re: the photos on the first page of this thread. I see three-across, but how easy is access to the middle slot for a third child? Climb over or underneath? Levitation?

Hello,

Nothing complicated really. The picture doesn't show the dimensions properly. My oldest who uses the booster seat crawles under the front seat and the first car seat. There is actualyl plenty of space to do so.

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for this informative thread. We are in the same boat with three kids now. We have two infant seats (outboard for the moment) and a 5 year old in a booster. My question is about the booster in the middle seat. How do you properly access the female end with the seat belt over my child? With three seats across, it's impossible for my 5 year old to reach down and latch the seat belt. I have tried and it is incredibly difficult, even for an adult. I've looked into seat belt extenders, but the ones that Mazda makes only fit the female latches on the outboard seats. Does anyone know the fix to this? Olivier - your photos are great! How does your middle child access the latch across the booster?

Thanks!
Peter

You people with 3 carseats in the middle are nuts. And I thought my 2 kids in carseats in the middle was taking up room..geeze. If we ever had (as in past tense only, not future tense) a third kid, i'd just make the oldest kid jump over the seats into the back seat. But kudos to you all who can somehow fit 3 seats in the middle... just nuts!
