3 Beeps???

We've had our '14 GT for about a month now (Radar cruise and FOW equipped) and have noticed 3 random beeps that occur at odd times for no apparent reason that we can identify. no warning lights accompany these beeps. I've searched online and haven't come up with anything so far. The only thing that seems to be a constant with these beeps is that every time we hear them we are going thru some kind of photo enforcement area. We've just figured this out in the last couple of days so i plan on testing this theory in the next couple of weeks. We will try traveling thru a few areas that have the photo enforcement with MRCC on and off to see what happens and also to see if we can identify any warning lights/messages that we may have over looked. Would it be considered a bonus that the car tells you when you are entering one of these areas? And does it only do this if you have the MRCC option? Or are we completely off base and there is another explanation that we aren't aware of?

The only thing that comes to mind is the 3-beeps for your blind-spot monitoring system. Have noticed if you activated a turn signal while a car was near you?

I have a '14 GT as well without the radar cruise control. In town, the car beeps three times when approaching a red-light camera intersection. Next time this happens to you, look at the upper left on the Nav screen. The image should tell you whether its a red-light camera, permanent speed trap, and I think something else. It will also give the distance to the object.

By the way, it doesn't beep at you when an officer sets up on the side of the road, so be careful!

well, good to know we ain't crazy i guess. how did you figure this out or did i just miss it somehow in the owners manual? i couldn't find any mention of it. i'll have to check out the nav screen next time, now that i know what to look for. thanks! (cheers2)

I found it by mistake just as you did!

We have two intersections I typically drive through that have the permanently installed red-light cameras. The first time I drove through I thought it was the turn signal alarm or something. The second time I thought it had something to do with when I was braking a certain way. The third time was the charm when I noticed a flashing icon on the Nav screen. I think it is a nice feature that I would never expected!

Yay! So glad someone figured this out. Wanted to add that I think it only beeps if you're going over the speed limit. I don't usually have the Navigation screen on, but happened to this morning and noticed that the over the speed limit indicator was blinking at the same time that the beeps were heard.

All the beeping from the Nav system can be turned on and off. I had a TomTom protable GPS before I got the 6 and the interface is the same. ( Does not include the BSM beep if you try to signal when a car is beside you)
