2nd gear

hey i was wondering if any of the other msp owners fell that 2nd gear isnt that quick. whenever i put it in second doesnt feel like it is lagin just feels like there is no power there. feels like more power in 3rd gear?
anything i can do other then uping the boost. im running stock except CIA.

Id have to say that 2nd gear is pretty powerful. I think it pulls almost as hard as first.... except i have no 2nd gear right now. lol

i agree. 2nd gear feels strong. power starts to die off in 3rd on up....a dp and turning up the boost will solve that for me

i think 3rd is the strongest. But 2nd is where i pull on people badly. I got into it with a 3000GT tonight that was pretty modified. First he was right beside me i spun hitting second and by the time i had the clutch out in 3rd i was 4 car lengths on him and pulling. By the way the 3000GT was not a VR4 or he would have waxed my ass. I know the guy and he's always talking s*** to other people saying he can take my s*** and they just laugh at him. I can't wait to see him tommorow. He rolled his windows up after we got to the next light so i couldn't see him anymore. *tinted real dark*

2nd is my favorite gear, it's got lots of power. Just be careful not to drown the engine too much and loose all the power. A gentle foot can change a lot. Also I noticed a big difference in 2nd gear when I got the engine. With a little leaning out and a little more power I feel it made 2nd gear a dream come true. Especially on a cold night, WOW . I still remember that first nigth drive..ahhhh...

There was a Bull s*** article claiming that the MSP lost power due to much air and hot air at that. I would have to say i would want proof from more than one source before i go believing that. :bs:

I think 2nd gear seems to ?bog? more easily??? If I hit the right rpm 2nd gear is as strong as my SHO, which kept pace with Porsche Carrera 4 from about 30mph-70mph and my MSP did a pretty good job racing my SHO. lol I know it's not scientific by any means, but I don't think it's that 2nd is slower than third, I think it's just more picky.

I could see just a CAI making it a little slower... What's the point of taking in all that air if the exhaust is too small to get rid of it?
